ELAVON:
Elavon is the credit card processor.ELAVON submits the card batch deposits to your bank for deposit and also debits the processing fees once per month around the 1st of each month. Your Merchant ID with Elavon will begin with 803. Think of them as the “banker / processor”. They are the Merchant provider. Transaction fees are charged for this service, like all merchant companies. If your contract shows .20 over exchange, meaning, if a debit card actually is .05% (1/2) percent, then Elavon marks up .20 in addition. A good rule of thumb is to figure a round number of 2.5% on transactions.
TSYS
TSYS is the platform (behind the scenes) that works with PAYTRACE. This platform is used by the BANK for the processing, it is a technical thing, this is how credit cards are run through the system.
PAYTRACE
Paytrace is a gateway that links A to B. A is Elavon, B is Equip-bid.com. Paytrace has a $20.00 monthly fee, and a charge of .15 cents for each and every transaction that is ran. Paytrace is the bridge between Equip-Bid and TSYS.
