Adding a Seller/Consignor and Commission Rate Information
Adding a new seller and inputting commission rate details into the Equip-Bid system streamlines the auction settlement process and facilitates payment to sellers. Here's how to do it:
Adding a New Seller:
- Navigate to the Seller Overview page within the affiliate toolbar.
- Click on the "New Seller" button located at the bottom of the Seller Overview page.
- Enter the seller's information, including the Seller ID (a unique identifier), name, company name (if applicable), email, address, and phone number.
- Specify the default commission rate for the seller as a percentage. This rate can be adjusted for individual auctions if needed.
Assigning a Seller in an Auction:
- Within the Edit Lot page, select the appropriate seller from the dropdown menu in the Seller section. The default commission rate assigned to the seller will automatically be applied. You can also choose a separate commission rate for specific items if necessary.
Creating and Assigning Commission Rates:
- Commission rates can be assigned to a seller or individual lot before, during, or after an auction.
- To create a new commission rate, open any existing seller or lot and locate the Commission Rate section. Click "Select" and then "New Rate" to input the details such as the rate name, type (% or flat fee), and amount.
- You can set up tiered commission pricing by adding new tiers to a rate. Once created, the rate will be automatically applied to lots assigned to the seller.
- If you need to assign a commission rate to specific lots, select the lots and use the Batch Edit option to apply the rate. This will override any default commission associated with the seller for those lots.
- Remember that once a rate is created, it cannot be changed. Use the "Disable" button to remove outdated or incorrect entries from your list of rates.
By following these steps, you can efficiently manage seller information and commission rates within the Equip-Bid system, ensuring smooth auction operations and accurate settlements.
